What do you get when you put together a midwestern gal with a country boy at heart? An interesting adventure! In fact, we've been on this adventure for 5 years now! Combining traditions from our upbringings and blending them into our own has been the foundation of our relationship. We are honored to share this special time in our lives with you, and we can't wait to celebrate on the big day!
Alyssa and Adam's love story began where all great things start, the internet. The Force was definitely with them on a warm May [the] 4th evening back in 2016. Adam was out with his friends, and Alyssa was just getting out of dance class for the day. She sent a message, and the rest is history; he was hooked! Alyssa and Adam went on their first date on Friday the 13th, which turned out to be good luck for them! Together they have been fortunate enough to discover their joint love of music concerts, broadway shows, and dinner parties in their home! Another one of their shared passions is traveling, and they are excited anytime they can get out of town for a bit! Their favorite place to go to is Sedona, where they sneak off whenever possible to have lunch at the Hideaway House (shout out to Matthew, the amazing manager that makes us feel like family every time we visit)! Alyssa and Adam have been very busy in the last year and a half. During the pandemic, they built their first home, brought home their second puppy Lyla, and Adam proposed to Alyssa at Page Springs Cellars on 10.10.2020. Their wedding date is very special to them, as it was also Alyssa's Nana and Papa's anniversary date. Adam felt that since he already shared a birthday with Papa, it was only fitting to share another date with him! Honoring family members that made us who we are today is something Adam and Alyssa truly value and live by.
We wanted to dedicate part of our wedding site to our family members who are no longer with us anymore to share this special time in our lives with us. We wouldn't be the people that we are without them. May their memory always be a blessing.
We dedicate all of our sarcasm to you every day. Grandpa was witty, and definitely the smartest man Adam has ever met. Adam got some of his more sarcastic tendencies from Grandpa Doc. Adam and Alyssa love using some of his signature lines, including "are you a tree? Did you plant roots?" and "Can you please move your mobile phone booth?" Alyssa did not get to meet Grandpa Doc, but has experienced his manurisms through Adam numerous times- and Adam is confident that he would've loved her.
Your pride in Adam always inspired him to do great things. Adam often remembers stories of how Bubbie used to tell all of her friends how smart I was for fixing a chair for her at the age of 4 or 5. Although she never got to meet Alyssa, she would've loved her!
The Man, The Myth, The Legend. Papa was always the life of the party! Papa could be friends with literally anyone, and make everyone feel like they were the most important people on the planet. Adam was very fortunate to get to meet Papa, and get to spend time with him. Papa was definitely a very influencial person in both Alyssa and Adam's lives.
Fun Fact: Papa and Adam shared a birthday, August 30th!
